To strengthen simplified customs clearance oversight, Taiwan Customs has required all personal import shipments bound for Taiwanese residents to undergo Real-Name Authentication and online import declaration via the "EZ WAY 易利委" mobile app since January 16, 2020.
Shipments sent to Taiwan without completed Real-Name Authentication or with incomplete contact details will be rejected by local customs authorities. If you are shipping packages to Taiwan, please ensure your Real-Name Authentication registration is completed in advance.

About Pre-clearance Authorization
In addition to the initial one-time Real-Name Authentication registration, Taiwan Customs fully implemented a mandatory Pre-clearance Authorization process for every individual imported shipment starting July 1, 2022. Once you receive a push notification from EZ WAY or an SMS/email from your shipping carrier, you must promptly complete the Pre-clearance Authorization step inside the EZ WAY app.
If this step is not completed, your package cannot clear customs and may incur storage fees or be returned to Japan. Please note that all associated storage fees and return shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility, so we kindly ask for your immediate cooperation upon notification.
